Objectives
- To improve your confidence in conversational French.
- To consolidate sentence structure and grammar, including revisions of the present, past, and future tenses.
- To enrich your vocabulary, learn some idioms, and more useful colloquial expressions.

- Introducing yourself and identifying others. Exchanging personal details.
- Talking about activities in the past. Replying to invitations and formal letters/emails.
- Giving details of an area you are familiar with. Discussing location of flats and houses.
- Being eco-friendly at home.
- Ordering meals, stating preferences. Discussing different types of food and drinks.
- At the supermarket, the post office and the bank.
Grammatical structures covered
Intermediate Level 1
- Revision of present tense, regular and common irregular verbs.
- Past tense (perfect) with avoir and être.
- Possessive pronouns.
Intermediate Level 2
- Imperfect tense.
- Pluperfect.
- Direct and indirect speech.
Intermediate Level 3
- Conditional tense.
- Si clauses (present + future, imperfect + conditional).
- Relative pronouns: qui, que, dont, où.
Higher Intermediate
- Subjunctive — introduction and common triggers.
- Reported speech in past tenses.
- More complex relative clauses.
